Enraged

Today was an ordinary day like any other day. I was sitting around my computer screwing around, watching TV, trying to decide what I was going to wear for a dinner rendezvous with one of my college friends. It was ordinary until my brother came home with the mail and handed me something that very few people like to receive:

Jury summons

I was a little perturbed at first because I served not that long ago. However, it has been longer than a year since I last served so I was considered fair game. I was slightly bitter about it for the rest of the day until I took a better look at the papers a few hours ago and found some small green text which basically told me that I was being summoned again because I failed to appear for my last summons.
"Complete bullshit," I'm thinking because I remember being at the Court House and being placed on a Jury for a murder trial. I was excused, however, because it was during my Spring Break and it would be several weeks before they received all the evidence for the trial. I got out of it that time but had to report again when I had more time to complete my civic duty. I had to report again two weeks after finals were over last spring and go through the entire process again. So, on the Monday I was supposed to report I kept checking the Superior Court website to find out when I needed to report for duty. It told me that I needed to be there at one. When the time came around, I got prepared and started to head out of the house. I thought I would check the site one last time, just to be sure. When I found my group number, it turned out that they didn't need my group after all and basically told me to find something else to do with the rest of my day and that my service was complete.
Now I have to find a way to get in touch with someone at the Court House to sort out this whole matter (if that's even possible) and get my ass out of Jury Duty. This situation has angered me to a high degree, and it may only get worse. We'll see what happens...

Note: I'm on standby for the week of the 30th, so let's not plan the road trip for then. Let's get some kind of plan formulated first (hint, hint, hint).

EDIT: I called them and told them I was a fucking ninja and would kill their families if I wasn't excused, so I no longer have to report. Or something like that.
