Microsoft Cracks Down on Hackers
I was on gamefaqs.com today when I saw a link to Gamespot that said, "Halo 3 Epsilon cheaters banned until 9999 AD." I had to check this out, so I clicked the link and read the article. Supposedly there is some kind of secret testing session for Halo 3 called the "Halo 3 Epsilon Test." This was meant to be an invitation-only testing session put forth by Microsoft to work out the final bugs before they finally release Halo 3. Some kid got a mod from a friend that would allow him to hack into Epsilon, but it wouldn't allow him in. He tried to sign onto XBox Live the next day and got a message that he was banned until December 31, 9999 AD. According to him and his friends the notification from Microsoft looks legit and he is indeed banned from XBox Live at the moment. Of course, Microsoft reps didn't comment on this, and so we are left to find out the fate of this poor gamer, or "Scar" as he goes by. I thought this was incredibly funny and wanted to share it with everyone. If you want to read the article, here is the link:

I read about this, there were 2 of them who got banned... I think they stole/found the "invitation" to the halo3 test from a MS employee.

Haha, damn it that is funny. That is the kind of message I would have given them. "You're not just banned for life, you are banned for 9,917 years BEYOND your conceivable lifetime... asshole." I like that a lot.
