Can "Jon and Kate Plus 8" Survive without Jon and Kate?

What's up everybody, I hope Summer is treating everyone well. Anyhow, school is over for all of us and I imagine we're all trying to find stuff to do in order to avoid going insane.
Well, you all probably have some knowledge of all the stuff that's been happening with Jon and Kate Gosselin. If you don't know about them, they are the focus of their own television reality show on TLC called "Jon and Kate Plus 8." They are a Pennsylvanian couple who were wed ten years ago and discovered that it would be very difficult for them to have children on their own, so they turned to fertility treatment. With full knowledge that such treatment usually ends up with multiple births (i.e. twins, triplets, etc.), they continued on. Their first set of children together ended up being twin girls. Several years later, they wanted another child and sought fertility treatment again. They wanted just one more child but ended up having sextuplets this time around. Therefore, they saw it fit to name the show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" because it not only rhymed but it brought attention to their eight children. There's a short synopsis, now here's the reason I made this post.
I've been watching the show for some time. I wouldn't call myself an avid watcher, I just happened to watch when I remembered it was on and had nothing else to do. I took the time to memorize each of the children and make some astute observations about Jon and Kate's behavior (I have to admit, those kids are pretty damn cute). To make a long story short, after ten years of marriage, Jon and Kate made the difficult decision to separate. I'm not going to get into the reasons here, but it was a decision that was supposedly a long time in the making. Unfortunately, the kids are going to be the most affected by this, but the next question on viewers minds was what was going to happen to the show.
Sometime last season (I believe) Jon and Kate bought something like a $1.1 million house with huge acreage out back. Jon and Kate divulged that the kids would stay in the house no matter what, and they (Jon or Kate) would take turns living in the house when it was their time with the kids, while the other would be living elsewhere. Kate told viewers that the show would continue, but only she or Jon would be appearing at one time. I thought to myself, "The show is fucked." Sure, it will continue for some time, but viewer interest will taper off eventually and the show will probably die. The problem is that the show just started it's fifth season on Memorial Day, so there is a large remainder of the season left to film.
So what's going to happen to "Jon and Kate Plus 8?"
