Well, Duh
I've been wanting to make a post about this for some time, I just found an article that helped me find the motivation to do so. Anyway, there has been a story that has been on just about every newscast over the last week or so, and this story is none other than 'Balloon Boy.' I'm not going to go into full length about the incident, but I have several opinions about the whole story.
First of all, the father claims that he's some kind of amateur scientist. If he really is, he's got the be the dumbest motherfucking scientist I've ever heard of. There's no way a balloon the size he made would ever carry a six year old child when it's filled with helium. That balloon would have the hardest time just carrying my shoes and wallet. It had a difficult time just staying in the air under its own weight. Secondly, the kid in question even said on live TV: "You guys said we did this for the show." At this point the father tried to look all confused and said "No, it wasn't." Also, the family has made claims that the balloon "took off on its own," but there is video showing the family together releasing the balloon (minus Falcon, of course).
All these point to a hoax, which I was convinced the second I heard the story. I found an article which provides more to the story:
I hope criminal charges are pressed, I hope the parents do jail time, and I hope CPS takes the kids away (even though CPS is the most incompetent organization on the face of the planet, even more so than Geek Squad). But I'm not bitter. Ninja McFear out.

I am glad the plug got pulled on this particular plan. I have had it with shows like Jon & Kate fuck up 8 and the dozens of other televised travesties.
