This is the Worst, Dumbest, and Most Idiotic Shit I've Ever Seen
Okay, a couple things here. First off, I realized the other day it's been a while since I've done a Hot or Not, and I've actually got an idea for one. Hopefully that'll be up in the next few days or so. The next is the reason why I made this post. I was on digg.com this morning and found a link to "The Top 50 Saturday Morning Cartoons." It brought back some memories and a hell of a lot of nostalgia. I was having a pretty good time until I got to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Before I continue, let me be perfectly clear when I say that Ninja Turtles was one of the best cartoons to ever hit the air waves. I was really excited until I saw the video they posted:
My only reaction was "Was the hell was that shit?" I did some research, and apparently in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Ireland and Scandinavia, the word "ninja" is too closely associated with horrendous amounts of violence, and thus changed the name. A bunch of bullshit, if you ask me. Nobody knows how much violence ninjas have imparted upon this world, because nobody has really seen a ninja. They only see the aftermath, and assume is was a group of highly skilled shadow warriors (or just one).
They could have also done a better job with the editing, as this was a GIANT PIECE OF HORSE SHIT!!!

They also edited out a lot of the parts with Michelangelo as well, as nunchucks were also inherently too violent (But katanas and ninja stars were allright, wtf?). It makes sense, because they were outlawed in California as well (although I have a pretty nice pair). Although I've heard they were banned in California because the people who had them and were skilled in using them were beginning to use them against police if they got in trouble and were causing serious damage. It's really easy to break a few bones with a good pair. That's why there isn't a whole lot of him in the intro; I thought we were bad with censorship here in the states.
I read a lot of the comments on YouTube, and a lot of Brits said they remember seeing this video. I'm curious to see if they have seen the original, as it is hard to come by on the internet; it's protected by a lot of copyrights and has been removed from YouTube. At least they weren't all British-like and claimed that this version was the original, only that it was the original to them, which I'm perfectly okay with.
